First of all, we  want to thank you for volunteering to host Team Cuisine.  We cannot  function on RAGBRAI without the kindness and support of our hosts.

Once you volunteer to host  Team Cuisine, you will be hearing from a few different team members.   You will first hear from our Housing Coordinator. He or she will  contact you by telephone and/or email to establish contact, exchange  contact information, answer questions and be your point person until  shortly before RAGBRAI when the daily house captain steps in (more on  that later).  

You will also hear from the team mapmaker.  He will  confirm your physical location and discuss any questionable  roads, turns, etc.  He will create the maps for both the team’s crew  and riders.

Finally, a few weeks out  from RAGBRAI, you will hear from a different team member who has  volunteered to be the Daily House Captain.  This person will arrive with  the crew the day you are hosting Team Cuisine. This person will walk  through the house with you as you tell him/her the house rules.  The  House Captain is in charge of enforcing the house rules, starting the  shower list, answering your questions, acting as an additional assistant  to the crew for that day, addressing any issues that may arise, and most importantly, ensuring that you are enjoying your day.
